S'mores bars!

Okay, I'm going to kick this thing off the right way, with a dessert recipe!

I found this recipe on Pinterest via Rookno17.com. I'm not typically a super sweet tooth kinda girl but my hubby is and s'mores are a classic so I gave it a shot. [I've tweaked the recipe as its written on the mother blog.] So, here goes...

What you need:

2 sleeves graham crackers
1 bag chocolate chips
1 bag mini marshmallows
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 tsp vanilla
1 stick butter, unsalted

Preheat your oven to 350. Start by melting your butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. While that's melting, put your graham crackers into a gallon size Ziploc bag. Now, beat the holy bejeebeus out of them! You want them to resemble fine bread crumbs for this. When your crackers are demolished and your butter is melted, pour the butter into the bag [make sure there are no holes in it from cracker-geddon] and mix and mash around until all your crumbs are well coated. Press your crust mix into a greased and lined with tin foil baking dish. [I used a 13X9] Place your crust into the oven while you make the fudge filling. Using the same pan you used to melt the butter, add in about 2 cups of your chocolate chips and your sweetened condensed milk. melt over low heat until completely melted and free of lumps, stir in vanilla. Remove your crust from the oven and pour in chocolate. Spread evenly using a spoon. Next, pile on the marshmallows! I ended up using the whole bag but it's really up to you. Return  to the oven and bake until your marshmallows are golden brown and delicious. Be sure to keep a sharp eye on time because marshmallows can go from brown and perfect to inedible hockey puck in seconds. When your ooey-gooey dessert comes out of the oven, let cool for about an hour then refrigerate for 2 hours. Before serving, take your remaining chocolate chips and melt with a couple teaspoons of butter, drizzle over marshmallows, cut into squares and enjoy! <3 - Jaime
